The AM Racing team recently revealed the next driver for their #15 vehicle in the Xfinity Series. Harrison Burton will drive it full-time next year, after Hailie Deegan left the squad midway through this season. AM Racing made it clear: “We are grateful for Hailie’s contributions and dedication as the driver of the No. 15 Ford Mustang during her time with the race team.” Since then, Deegan’s NASCAR future has been unknown.
There were rumors of her switching series, either to IndyCar or signing with a new team in Xfinity, but none have been proven so yet. Deegan, on the other hand, has taken advantage of her time off to spend quality time with family. She’s frequently seen on social media filming amusing videos with her younger brothers and is a huge fan of them. Hudson Deegan races motocross, while Haiden Deegan competes in both motocross and supercross. Hailie never misses an opportunity to encourage them!
Hailie Deegan supports her brother to the victory
Hailie was recently seen in the stands at the SMX World Championship. Her younger brother, Haiden, competes in the AMA Supercross and Motocross championships. The 18-year-old has already achieved significant success in the sport. In the 250cc category, Haiden Deegan recently went back-to-back, winning the 2023 and 2024 250 SMX World Championship titles. This came after he already won the Pro Motocross championship this year. His current SMX championship was achieved after a dominant season, where he won five of the six Motos in the SMX Playoffs and ultimately the final.
Haiden Deegan, after the victory, was asked if he knew he was going to be this good. The humble youngster replied, “I don’t know honestly the plan was like this year I just won a few races. And then next year was my championship year right like that was my goal to try and get a championship next year. But to run three championships by the time I was 18 that’s definitely blew my goals off the list.” While he lifted the trophy, the loudest applause was from Hailie Deegan, who was proud of her younger brother. She took to Instagram to write, “Made the trip out to Vegas to watch @dangerboydeegan win the championship 🙌 @monsterenergy.”
Brian Deegan, a motorsports star, has two children: Hailie and Haiden. Throughout his lengthy career, he was one of the most well-known figures in motocross and won multiple X Games gold medals. Naturally, motorsports are in his children’s DNA. After winning the tournament, Haiden commented on the strain of being Brian Deegan’s son and how it has benefited him.
He said, “100% I think like you feel the pressure and I just learn to turn that pressure into like the best me. And that’s kind of it’s definitely a thing that’s just kind of in my system. Maybe how I was raised or something where I don’t let the pressure take over me. I just do my best work when I have pressure so it’s definitely a good habit to have.” Even Hailie Deegan shares the same work ethic, but she couldn’t thrive in the challenging NASCAR landscape.
