Celtic unveiled their 2024/25 squad portrait this morning, however there is one notable absence. In the shot from Lennoxtown, the Celtic squad sits with manager Brendan Rodgers, assistant John Kennedy, and last season’s trophies.
The first team lined up for the picture with a number of youth players supplementing the squad. However, there was one omission from the picture – Odin Thiago Holm.

The Norwegian youngster signed from Valerenga last summer in a deal that was seen as being one for the future. The 21-year-old has made 16 appearances for Celtic, making one assist and scoring once; however, his sending off against Feyenoord last year appeared to result in game time drying up for the player.
Rodgers commented that the player was talented but he had to do more with it and work harder at training. The manager showed the same tact with Bosun Lawal, before sanctioning a £3m move to Stoke City.
There has been no indication of any problems with Holm at Celtic; it was even believed that he would be loaned out if Celtic succeeded in acquiring Luke McCowan, but nothing happened. It’s an odd one, given that Holm has only appeared three times this season.
