Eli Tomac, one of the most accomplished riders in Supercross and Pro Motocross history, has re-signed with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing for the 2025 season, which will be his final year of professional competition.
The Colorado native, who has eight championship championships and 52 premier-class wins in Supercross, is preparing to make one more attempt for the crown in the SuperMotocross World Championship.
Entering his fourth year with the Yamaha team, Tomac has found significant success aboard the YZ450F, securing both 450SX and 450MX championships during his debut season in 2022. Despite injuries cutting short the last two Supercross seasons, Tomac has continued to rack up victories, becoming the winningest active rider in the sport with 15 wins in 450SX and 14 moto wins in 450MX during his time with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.
Tomac’s return for the 2025 season gives the team a major boost as they gear up for his final campaign in Supercross, Pro Motocross, and the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals. Known for his fierce competitiveness and record-breaking performances, including seven victories at the iconic Daytona Supercross, Tomac is determined to finish his career on a high note.

I anticipate 2025 being my final full season of professional SMX racing. While the last two Supercross seasons have had unfortunate endings with injury, we’ve had many more great race wins, and championships along the way. So now is the time to enjoy the ride, get back to winning races and competing for the SuperMotocross title.”
With his return, Tomac aims to solidify his legendary status in the sport and give fans one last thrilling season before hanging up his helmet.
