Antoni Kade Ogumoro, a three-star offensive lineman from Oklahoma, has reaffirmed his commitment to the Tennessee Vols following an impactful official visit to Knoxville. Before the season started, Ogumoro pledged to the Vols and has remained steadfast in his decision. His recent visit during the Third Saturday in October was a significant experience that solidified his commitment.
Reflecting on his time in Knoxville, Ogumoro expressed, “My visit was incredible. Being back on campus and experiencing the energy firsthand reminded me why I chose Tennessee. The fans, facilities, and overall atmosphere were electric. Neyland Stadium, with over 100,000 fans, truly embodies the passion of the community. It’s one thing to watch from home, but nothing compares to being there in person.”
Ogumoro’s experience was so positive that he is now 100% committed to the Vols. “This visit really solidified my decision. The coaching staff has been upfront and honest, and I feel like I’m at the right place. I’m not looking to explore other options; the relationships I’ve built with the staff and players are too strong for that,” he said.
During his visit, Ogumoro also engaged with potential recruits on campus, sharing his enthusiasm for the program. “I talked to a few recruits and pitched Tennessee to them. I let them know that this is a place to be part of something special. The program is on the rise, and the coaches genuinely care about us as players and individuals. Tennessee feels like home, and it’s a family environment here.”
He also had the opportunity to reconnect with Coach Glen Elarbee and Head Coach Josh Heupel. “Talking with Coach Heupel and Coach Elarbee was great. They made it clear that they believe in me and are excited to get me on campus. Their vision for the offensive line and how they plan to develop me as a key player only reinforced my decision,” Ogumoro stated.
Looking ahead, Ogumoro plans to return to Knoxville before the season ends. “I’ll be back for a couple more games; I just don’t have specific dates yet. Each visit feels like home, and I can’t wait to experience more with the team.”
