Carlos Alcaraz has stated confidently ahead of the ATP Finals that he intends to win his 17th ATP championship this season—and his first at an indoor event. Following the retirement of World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, the 21-year-old Spaniard has emerged as a favorite in the forthcoming indoor hard-court competition.
The World No. 2, who nearly missed the Paris Masters final in 2022 due to an injury-induced withdrawal in his quarterfinal match against Holger Rune, hopes to advance farther in 2024. His greatest finish in Paris was a quarterfinal in 2022, while he advanced to the third round in 2021 and was eliminated in the second round in 2023. Now in peak form, Alcaraz is firmly placed to win at Paris-Bercy and continue his impressive season at the ATP World Tour Finals.

In an interview with Tennis TV, Alcaraz spoke candidly about his goals for the Paris Masters and the World Tour Finals.
“To win every tournament I play. I think I’m playing great. I’m really proud of myself for the whole year,” he said. “I’m just really happy to get through the first set; it was really important for me to come into the second with a lot more confidence.”
