The Alabama Crimson Tide has added another commitment to its top-ranked 2027 recruiting class. Alexander Ward, a wide receiver from Walton High School in Georgia, officially committed to Alabama. Ward chose the Crimson Tide over several other prominent programs, including Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina.
Notably, Ward is the first out-of-state prospect to join Alabama’s 2027 class. Although he is not currently ranked as a prospect according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, it is likely that his ranking will change in a future update.
Ward’s commitment brings the total number of commitments in Alabama’s 2027 class to three. He joins Jabarrius Garror and Ba’Roc Willis, both four-star edge rushers from in-state. The Crimson Tide’s 2027 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 1 nationally.
In other recruiting news, Alabama also flipped a three-star running back from a Big Ten program on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide’s recruiting efforts continue to yield impressive results, with the program solidifying its position as a top destination for college football talent.
