Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles continue stocking their 2025 recruiting class, this time flipping an offensive lineman from the USF Bulls.
Sean Poret is a 6’5”, 270 pound offensive lineman from Riverwood High in Atlanta, GA. Poret had been committed to USF since June 24, but a major push by the Seminoles and subsequent official visit to Tallahassee for the UF game sealed the deal for FSU.
A three-star prospect, 247Sports Composite ranks Poret as the 1024th best player in the country (67th best interior OL, 117th best player in GA). He was originally offered by FSU following a great Elite Camp performance in the summer but wasn’t given a green light, with the Seminoles prioritizing other prospects. With recent OL turnover in the class, Poret became a priority for FSU.
He chose the Seminoles over two dozen other offers from like of the Boston College Eagles, Duke Blue Devils, James Madison Dukes, Memphis Tigers, NC State Wolfpack, SMU Mustangs, Tulane Green Wave, and Vanderbilt Commodores. He also holds Ivy League offers from Yale, Brown, Cornell, and Dartmouth, speaking to his high performance in the classroom. He also plays basketball for his high school.
