Silas Corder, a 6-foot-1 quarterback from Pascagoula, Mississippi, has committed to play for the University of Southern Mississippi. According to his profile on 247Sports, Corder is a 4-star recruit and the No. 146 quarterback in the Class of 2025.
Corder has had an impressive high school career, leading his team to several victories, including a 7-6 win over Hattiesburg in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs. In that game, he completed 7 of 17 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Corder’s commitment to Southern Miss is a significant boost to the program, which has been working to rebuild its roster and compete with other top teams in the conference. With Corder on board, the Golden Eagles are looking to make a strong push in the coming seasons.
It’s worth noting that Corder has been recognized as one of the top prep quarterbacks in the Gulf South, and has participated in elite quarterback camps, including the 601 Elite Quarterback Camp.
