Five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. has officially signed with Tennessee, capping off a long and eventful journey. Sanders committed to Tennessee in August, but his recruitment has heated up again in the last month. A sudden visit to Ohio State cast uncertainty, and a delayed signature yesterday fueled speculation.
Today, Sanders announced his final choice live on Finebaum, bringing the drama to a conclusion.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native is the top offensive line prospect in the country. According to 247Sports, Sanders is the fifth overall prospect in all of America and the top prospect in the state of North Carolina.
At 6-6, 290 pounds, Sanders is a smooth operator and plenty athletic enough to handle left tackle responsibilities immediately. The best part of his game is his ability to finish, and he’s always looking for work. He’ll be asked to add weight pretty quickly to hold up in SEC play, but with right tackle John Campbell on the way out, he should have a path to contributing early on.
Sanders is the sole five-star prospect in Tennessee’s class. The Volunteers now have 25 signatures, with only one uncommitted name remaining on the board (Onis Konanbanny).
According to 247Sports, Tennessee currently has the tenth-ranked class in the 2025 cycle.
