Texas Longhorns Land Five-Star Defensive Lineman Justus Terry
In a massive coup for the Texas Longhorns, five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry has signed with the team, choosing them over several other top programs. The Manchester, Georgia native announced his commitment on the final day of the early signing period.
Terry, a 6’5″, 275-pound line, is ranked as the No. 10 prospect and the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. His commitment is a significant boost to the Longhorns’ recruiting class, which is expected to be the nation’s best.

Terry had officially visited all five of his finalist schools, but it was his official visit to Texas in the fall that seemed to make the biggest impact. “They kind of made an improvement,” Terry told Horns247 after his visit. “Just coming out here, they answered a lot of my questions. When I came out here I was just opened-minded. They made a big jump on my recruitment.”
