Isaiah Sategna, a talented wide receiver from Fayetteville High School, has made a significant decision regarding his collegiate football career. After spending three seasons with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Sategna has committed to joining the Oklahoma Sooners.
Sategna’s impressive skills on the field were evident during his time at Arkansas. As a redshirt sophomore, he achieved career highs with 37 receptions and 491 yards, scoring one touchdown. His standout performances included a 58-yard touchdown catch against Auburn, as well as notable games against Oklahoma State, Tennessee, LSU, and Louisiana Tech.
In addition to his receiving duties, Sategna also served as Arkansas’ punt returner for the past two seasons. One of his most memorable moments was returning a punt 88 yards for a touchdown against BYU last year.
A 4-star recruit out of Fayetteville High School, Sategna was a highly sought-after prospect. He initially committed to Oregon and Texas A&M before ultimately choosing the Razorbacks. During his senior year in high school, Sategna caught an impressive 100 passes for 1,908 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Interestingly, Sategna was also a talented track athlete. He was a two-time Gatorade Arkansas athlete of the year and ranked as the No. 4 track recruit nationally in his class. However, he decided to focus solely on football prior to the 2024 indoor season, leaving the Razorbacks’ track team.
Sategna will have two seasons of eligibility remaining with the Oklahoma Sooners. Having played parts of three seasons at Arkansas, he preserved his redshirt by competing in only four games in 2022. During his redshirt season, Sategna had two catches for 12 yards, and in 2023, he caught 15 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
The addition of Isaiah Sategna to the Oklahoma Sooners is expected to bolster their receiving corps. With his impressive skills and experience, Sategna is poised to make a significant impact on the field.
