Teoscar Hernández to Red Sox? Experts Predict “Quick Pivot”
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Teoscar Hernández are at an impasse in their negotiations, sparking speculation that the slugger may join the Boston Red Sox. Hernández, who hit a career-high 33 home runs last season, is reportedly seeking a $22-24 million annual salary, which the Dodgers have been unwilling to match.
Despite both parties expressing interest in a reunion, the stalemate has led experts to predict that Hernández will ultimately sign with the Red Sox. Content creator Jim Riley recently forecasted that once it becomes clear that a deal with the Dodgers is unlikely, Hernández will make a “quick pivot” to Boston.
The Red Sox have been aggressive in their pursuit of talent, having already signed former Dodger Walker Buehler this week. They have also acquired several ex-LA stars in recent seasons, including Justin Turner, Kenley Jansen, and Kiké Hernández. The addition of Teoscar Hernández would further bolster their lineup, which is in need of right-handed bats.
Hernández’s impressive statistics last season, including 99 RBI, an .840 OPS, and a 137 OPS+, make him an attractive target for the Red Sox. As arguably the best right-handed bat available, he would be a significant addition to Boston’s lineup.
While the Dodgers and Hernández may still work out a deal, the current stalemate suggests that a reunion is increasingly unlikely. If Hernández does indeed join the Red Sox, it would be the latest example of a star player making the cross-country move from LA to Boston.
