Sellers Brothers to Bring Backyard Ball to USC in 2025
In a thrilling development for University of South Carolina (USC) football fans, LaNorris Sellers, the team’s redshirt freshman quarterback, will be joined by his brother, Jayden “Puppy” Sellers, a wide receiver from South Florence High, in 2025. This exciting news promises to bring a new level of excitement and camaraderie to the Gamecocks.
LaNorris Sellers has already made a name for himself at USC, defying critics who doubted his abilities at the start of the 2024 season. With a string of impressive performances, including a 307-yard, three-touchdown masterpiece against Wofford, Sellers has proven himself to be a rising star in the SEC.
Now, with the addition of his brother Jayden, the Sellers brothers are poised to bring their backyard ball skills to the collegiate level. Jayden, a three-star recruit, had a stellar senior season at South Florence High, racking up 1,016 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
USC coach Shane Beamer is thrilled to have the Sellers brothers on board, highlighting the importance of family ties in the team’s recruiting process. “I love this aspect of it, that’s three sets of brothers we now have on our team. That makes a huge statement of what this program is about,” Beamer said.
For LaNorris and Jayden, playing together at USC is a dream come true. Their father, Norris Sellers, noted that Jayden had always been set on joining the Gamecocks, despite receiving offers from other top programs. “It never really was a question because I know the culture there,” Norris said.
With the Sellers brothers set to take the field together in 2025, USC fans can expect an exciting brand of football that combines talent, chemistry, and family bonds. As LaNorris said, “We’re here to stay.”
