Like I said, I learned a whole lot.” Ewers emphasized that he has no regrets about his decision to leave Ohio State, citing his desire to be closer to his resources and relationships in Texas.
Ohio State Coach Ryan Day reciprocated Ewers’ kind words, praising the quarterback’s talent and character. “He decided he really wanted to play,” Day said. “It was disappointing for us, but we certainly understood. And from afar, I’ve watched him, and he’s got a lot of talent. He’s a really good player.” Day also commended Ewers’ family and the relationships he maintained with the Ohio State community.
