Simone Biles Shows Love for Georgia Bulldogs, Receives Customized Football Jersey
In a heartwarming gesture, world-renowned gymnast Simone Biles was presented with a customized Georgia football jersey, courtesy of the Georgia football program. The 27-year-old gymnastics legend, widely regarded as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT), was beaming with pride as she showcased her new jersey.
Biles’ affection for the Georgia Bulldogs is no secret. “I love Georgia bulldogs passionately,” she exclaimed. Her enthusiasm for the team was evident as she posed for a photo with her husband, Jonathan Owens, a safety for the NFL’s Chicago Bears. The picture was shared on the UGA football equipment’s Instagram page, with a simple yet telling caption: “The GOAT is a Dawg.”
Biles’ visit to Athens was more than just a casual meet-and-greet. She was in town to support her longtime coach, Cécile Canqueteau-Landi, who has recently taken on the role of co-coach for the Georgia GymDogs. Canqueteau-Landi has also coached other Olympic gymnasts, including Jordan Chiles and Maddie Kocian.
As a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, Biles has redefined the sport of gymnastics. Her impressive collection of 12 Olympic medals, including three golds and a silver from the 2024 Paris Olympics, is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and natural talent.
Despite never competing in college gymnastics, Biles’ impact on the sport extends far beyond her own achievements. She has inspired countless young gymnasts and fans around the world with her daring maneuvers and record-breaking performances.
As Biles continues to support her coach and the Georgia GymDogs, her love for the Georgia Bulldogs has officially been cemented. With her customized football jersey in hand, she has become an honorary member of the Bulldog family. As the saying goes, “Once a Dawg, always a Dawg.”
