He had an impressive career at Ohio State, culminating in a national championship victory in the fall of 2024. Jackson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport industry in December 2024, completing his academic journey with several prestigious accolades. Over his college career, Jackson earned three Academic All-Big Ten honors and was named an OSU Scholar-Athlete multiple times. He was also awarded the Big Ten’s Distinguished Scholar Award for the 2023-24 academic year, along with the 2024 Cotton Bowl Scholar-Athlete Award and the 2025 Rose Bowl Scholar-Athlete Award. Jackson’s achievements on the field and in the classroom solidify his reputation as one of the most well-rounded student-athletes in recent Ohio State history.
Seth McLaughlin, a transfer from Alabama, also earned first-team Academic All-American honors despite facing a major setback with an Achilles injury before Ohio State’s penultimate regular-season game. Prior to the injury, McLaughlin was an instrumental part of the Buckeyes’ offense and had won the prestigious Rimington Trophy in 2024, awarded to the nation’s best center. McLaughlin’s academic journey is equally impressive—he graduated from Alabama in just two and a half years with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He continued his education while at Ohio State, earning a master’s degree in sports hospitality management and working toward a third degree in human development and family sciences. Quinshon Judkins, who joined Ohio State after two seasons at Ole Miss, was named a second-team Academic All-American.
