Chris Henry Jr., a five-star wide receiver committed to Ohio State, recently shared his enthusiasm on social media after his Mater Dei teammate, Tomuhini Topui Jr., received an offer from Buckeyes coach Ryan Day. Henry’s reaction was simple yet telling, as he posted a single word, “Heyyy,” on his Instagram story.
Topui Jr., a four-star defensive lineman, has been a dominant force for Mater Dei, helping the team achieve a perfect 13-0 record. His impressive performance earned him the Trinity League’s Most Valuable Player award. Despite being committed to Oregon since October, Topui remains a highly sought-after prospect, and Ohio State’s offer could potentially impact his recruitment.
Interestingly, Henry, who is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver by On3, has also visited Oregon and remains open to exploring other major programs. USC, in particular, is making a strong push to flip Henry’s commitment.
