Duke University’s football program has achieved a significant milestone with its 2025 recruiting class, marking one of the most successful in the school’s history. Under the leadership of head coach Manny Diaz, the Blue Devils secured commitments from 27 recruits during the early signing period, culminating in a class ranked No. 33 nationally by 247Sports.
This accomplishment places Duke near the top of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in recruiting standings, reflecting the program’s upward trajectory. The class is highlighted by the addition of four-star linebacker Bradley Gompers from Central Catholic High School in Pennsylvania. Gompers, who also played tight end in high school, is considered the best recruit in Duke’s history. His commitment is particularly noteworthy given late interest from prominent programs like Michigan and Penn State.
Another significant addition is four-star defensive end Bryce Davis from Grimsley High School in North Carolina. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 255 pounds, Davis ranks No. 59 nationally and is the third-highest-rated player in North Carolina. His decision to flip his commitment from Clemson to Duke underscores the Blue Devils’ growing appeal to top-tier talent.
The success of this recruiting class is a testament to the program’s recent on-field achievements, including a 9-3 regular-season record.
