Florida Gators’ senior guard Walter Clayton Jr. and sophomore forward Alex Condon have been honored with All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) accolades for the 2024-25 regular season, reflecting their significant contributions to the team’s success.
Walter Clayton Jr.: First-Team All-SEC
Walter Clayton Jr., hailing from Lake Wales, Florida, has been a pivotal force for the Gators. Leading the team with an average of 17.2 points per game, he also tallied 84 three-point field goals and 129 assists over the season. Clayton consistently delivered double-digit scoring in every full SEC game he participated in, including four 20-point games in conference play. Notably, he matched his career-high with a 33-point performance against Kentucky. This season’s first-team All-SEC recognition marks his second consecutive All-SEC honor, having earned second-team accolades in the previous season.
Alex Condon: Third-Team All-SEC
Australian native Alex Condon has showcased remarkable development in his sophomore year. Standing at 6-foot-11, Condon averaged 11.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, solidifying his role as the starting power forward. He recorded six double-doubles in SEC play, including standout performances in top-25 victories: 12 points and 12 rebounds against No. 1 Tennessee, 17 points and 10 rebounds at No. 1 Auburn, and a career-high 27 points with 10 rebounds at No. 7 Alabama. His consistent excellence earned him three SEC Player of the Week honors this season, making him only the second player in Florida’s history to achieve this feat. Condon’s contributions have been instrumental in Florida’s impressive 27-4 regular-season record.

Under the leadership of head coach Todd Golden, the Gators have maintained a top-10 national ranking since December 9, 2024. They secured three top-10 wins, including two on the road, demonstrating their competitiveness on a national scale.
