
Gainesville, Fla. –Excitement is building in The Swamp as the University Athletic Association (UAA) has officially announced the designations and themes for the Florida Gators’ 2025 home football games. With six home matchups on the schedule, fans can expect a vibrant mix of tradition celebration, and community engagement.
Aug. 30 vs. Long Island – 352 Community Day**
The season kicks off with the Gators hosting the Long Island Sharks for the first time ever. This opener is themed “352 Community Day,” celebrating organizations and groups across North Central Florida. Special ticket offers will be made available to local residents as the Gators welcome them to The Swamp to begin a promising new season.
Sept. 6 vs. South Florida – Championship Reunion Weekend
Presented by GFL Environmental, this game will feature a special celebration for former UF teams marking their 10-, 25-, and 50-year championship anniversaries. It’s a chance for fans to honor Gator legends who contributed to the program’s rich history. Florida has a 3-0 record against South Florida, with the last meeting taking place in 2022.
Oct. 4 vs. Texas – Gatorade’s 60th Anniversary & UF Family Weekend
In a historic matchup, the Texas Longhorns return to Gainesville for the first time since 1940. The game will commemorate the 60th anniversary of Gatorade, which was invented at UF in 1965 by Dr. Robert Cade. Coinciding with UF Family Weekend, the celebration will include lectures, performances, and campus-wide events—culminating in a highly anticipated clash at The Swamp.
Oct. 18 vs. Mississippi State – Homecoming, Hall of Fame & GatorMade Week
Homecoming 2025 brings the Bulldogs back to Gainesville for the first time in 15 years. Florida will also induct seven new Gator Greats and one Honorary Letterwinner into the UF Athletic Hall of Fame. Highlights include Gator Growl, the Gator Gallop, and numerous on-campus celebrations. Additionally, GatorMade Week will spotlight the leadership and service initiatives of UF football student-athletes through the GatorMade program.
Nov. 22 vs. Tennessee – Saluting Those Who Serve
Presented by VyStar Credit Union, this patriotic game will honor military service members, veterans, and first responders. For each ticket sold, the UAA will donate one to a local military hero, up to 2,000 tickets. Fans can expect a moving tribute and another fierce SEC rivalry showdown following Florida’s 2023 home win over the Volunteers.
Nov. 29 vs. Florida State – Senior Day
The season finale against in-state rival Florida State is dedicated to recognizing the contributions of Gator seniors. Presented by Publix, the pregame ceremonies will honor the student-athletes who have left their mark on the program. Florida triumphed 31-11 over the Seminoles in their 2024 meeting.
Ticket Information
Season tickets for 2025 are now on sale after a 2024 season sellout. Packages start at under $85 per game and include a Gator Boosters contribution. The Gators Stadium Pass offers flexible seating and the opportunity to attend with friends by linking accounts or purchasing guest passes. Single-game tickets will be available through a presale from June 12–16 for “Swamp Certified” fans before the public release.
