Netflix to Release a Documentary on Music Band The Who in December 2025
Netflix has officially announced the upcoming release of a documentary chronicling the legendary rock band The Who, set to premiere globally in December 2025. Titled Behind Blue Eyes: The Story of The Who, the documentary promises an in-depth look into the band’s groundbreaking rise to fame, turbulent relationships, and lasting influence on rock music. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia, known for Amy and Senna, the film will blend rare archival footage, never-before-heard interviews, and intimate behind-the-scenes moments from the band’s five-decade-long career.
The project has been developed in close collaboration with surviving members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, who offer candid reflections on the band’s highs and lows—from their explosive beginnings in the 1960s London mod scene to their iconic performances at Woodstock and Live Aid.
