Known affectionately as “The Mighty Sound of the Southeast,” the 360-member Carolina Band has long been a symbol of excellence, tradition, and unmatched school spirit. From electrifying pregame shows at Williams-Brice Stadium to national television performances like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the band brings passion, precision, and pageantry to every appearance. Their recent national spotlight moment? A standout performance in New York City during the 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. As one of only 11 collegiate bands chosen to participate, the Carolina Band stunned millions of viewers both along the parade route and watching live on NBC’s Today Show. With crisp formations, bold brass, and thunderous percussion, their presence was nothing short of legendary.
Band Director Dr. Jay Jacobs called the honor “a testament to the hard work and discipline of every single student who wears the uniform.”
